CDAD has over 60 organizational members and supporting member organizations.

CDAD requires that CDC member organizations meet the following criteria:

  • Nonprofit tax-exempt status
  • Provide community development for low-to-moderate income communities
  • including the physical revitalization of affordable housing, commercial or industrial areas
  • Have specific geographic boundaries within the city of Detroit
  • Support the goals and philosophy of CDAD; and
  • Provide services to enhance the quality of life of Detroiters. Supporting  membership is open to organizations that comply with CDAD's guiding  principles.

  • Advocacy with City Council, the Mayor’s Office, Planning and Development, and at the State level;
  • NEW! Executive-level CDC training offered FREE to CDAD members;
